"Brian has made the transition of me knowing nothing about audio
engineering and production less than a year ago, to giving me the
foundation to work with tons of different applications - from Live to
Logic to Native Instruments plugins or whatever comes my way. Brian
makes sure you understand the principles behind what you are doing, so
that you once you are done you have a skill for life. I'm at the point
that I truly feel that I got the equivalence of 4 year education in a
few short months."

"Brian Jackson is a master teacher. Smart, kind and PATIENT he guided me through the ProTools minefield. Coming from live theatre I came to the table of the digital revolution late. However, Brian got me caught up in no time. Now, I not only avoid IEDs I can actually record stuff! "

"I found Brian Jackson to be very knowledgeable about the various stages of the recording process, including tracking, mixing and mastering. Going into depth on topics such as monitoring, studio acoustics, compression, EQ, reverb, delays, limiters, exporting, file formats etc. He also covered many of the latest and best plug ins as well. Ultimately Brian helped to clarify many areas of the recording and mixing process that I was unaware of or unclear about. Many thanks and keep up the good work. "

"For someone like me with a bit of experience here and there in the past but not a currently heavy user of Ableton Live, an intensive course might seem like an ideal option. The problem is that too much information and you end up with a lot more questions and not enough time in a course to answer them. Fortunately, Brian has a great ability to focus on what's really important for you to learn so you can start making music immediately. No default, going-by-the-book filler explanations of what you should know or do but instead, the right mix of knowledge, skills and process you need so when you go back to your home and/or studio you can get your projects off the ground, now."

"I come from 15+ years of Pro Tools experience - mainly mixing and recording, and was looking for someone to transition me into getting up and running with Ableton Live for use as a sound design and production tool. In two focused days Brian had me understanding Live's totally different workflow and environment; Live is now my primary tool for sound design and production."

"Ableton Live workshops in November 2009. It was one of those life altering events that changed my whole approach to composition and performance as an audio/video artist. Over the course of a weekend, I went from a basic working knowledge of Ableton Live to launching scenes and building sets. It is mind blowing what I can do now. I was further impressed by his organization and time management skills. He covered all the topics planned on his outline step by step, and went beyond by sharing his personal tips and tricks. I couldn't put a price on that added value. The best part of this particular experience was that I was just in time to order one of his newly released DVDs that contained tutorials that I can watch time and time again. I am planning on attending future events in 2010. I am particularly interested in expanding my possibilities with a Max For Live course as soon as it is available. Enough said. On a final note, I consider Brian Jackson as one of life's special people. He is truly a gentleman, a scholar, and a friend. Thanks man!"

"When I began to study Pro Tools with Brian, I had many years of experience as a musician, a limited command of the computer and a very basic knowledge of Pro Tools. Brian was able to assess the situation quickly and give me lessons that fit my particular needs. He has a strong command of the subject and presents the material at a flexible and appropriate pace. Brian is personable and easy to work with in terms of scheduling. If you need a teacher, hes the man."

"I feel fortunate to have studied Pro Tools in addition to recording and mixing techniques with Brian. I started with a couple of lessons and immediately decided to continue for an extended period of time. I learned more from Brian than from all the books and DVDs that I own. And here it is, two years later and I am still coming back to gain more knowledge from Brian. Thats the true test of a great teacher. He is a totally professional innovative instructor and his hands-on approach to teaching makes the material stick. I have even used Brians engineering skills to mix and edit music tracked at my studio."

"Trying to find a good DAW to feel comfortable with is hard, not to mention
actually utilizing that DAW to it's full potential. I've been using Live,
for almost 4-5 years in most of my recordings and performances, and it's
definitely what I prefer to work with. However, I've always known there is a
lot that I'm not going to learn by myself and that is where Brian came in. I
had two classes with Brian and he showed me a lot of interesting ways of
using Live, which I would never have thought of on my own. On stage and in
the studio, he showed me how flexible Live could be, to enhance any approach
to audio recording, producing and performing, Not only that, but he also
demonstrated some fundamental recording and mixing concepts that have helped
me gain a lot more, much needed, control in my recordings."

"I have been a DJ for quite sometime now, and have been looking to work off a digital landscape. Brian Jackson has provided a smooth transition for me in Ableton Live. I am pleased to say Brian is very patient with new-comers and that is very difficult to come across in his field. If you are serious about educating yourself in his craft, then Brian Jackson is the perfect candidate."

"Brian is probably the best resource you could call upon to learn Live. He knows it inside out and was able to answer anything I threw at him, very highly recommended."
